Carl was born on August 14th, 1905. Carl's father was Joseph Addison Graves and his mother was Harriett Irene “Hattie” Sanders. His maternal grandparents were David Stephen Sanders and Martha Gordon Latimer. He had a brother and two sisters, named Buster, Penelope and Ruby. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 84 on April 1st, 1990 in Dierks, Howard Co., AR. He was buried in 1990 in Green's Chapel, Sevier Co., AR.¹
