Katherine was born on September 19th, 1884.  Katherine's father was James Samuel McKendre Latimer and her mother was Martha Emma Sanders.  Her maternal grandparents were David Stephen Sanders and Harriett H. Stewart. She had two brothers and a sister, named Booker, David and Pearl.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 77 on October 29th, 1961.
