Daniel was born on August 30th, 1858 in Sevier Co., AR.  Daniel's father was Daniel Franklin Sanders and his mother was Mary “Pauly” Messer.  His paternal grandparents were Julius  Sanders and Penelope (Parthenia) Fields. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Lewis, Charles, Francis, Mary and Texanna.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named William.  He died at the age of 77 on October 17th, 1935 in San Antonio, TX.
