Essie Mae Wynn

Essie was born on May 14th, 1918. Essie's father was Joseph Johnston Wynn and her mother was Nellie Jane Harriett Sanders. Her maternal grandparents were James Carrol Sanders and Charity Gilbert. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Gilbert, Buffalo, Aughtie, Lucy, Dora, Mattie and Jo. She was the seventh oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 59 in October 1977 in Walters, Cotton Co., OK.¹
