Leota Mae Russell

Leota was born on December 14th, 1915. Leota's father was James Wesley Russell and her mother was Dora Sanders. Her maternal grandparents were Hansford Newton Sanders and Mary Catherine “Katie” Weems. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Horace, James, Jack, Donald, Mary, Beryl, Sarah and Virginia. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 92 on August 28th, 2008 in Sherwood, Pulaski, Arkansas.¹
