Dora was born on October 24th, 1893. Dora's father was Hansford Newton Sanders and her mother was Mary Catherine “Katie” Weems. Her paternal grandparents were David Stephen Sanders and Harriett H. Stewart; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Liddell Weems and Rosanna Littlefield. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Jacie, Jesse, Dude, Harriett, Mary, Leona and Nora. She was the youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Ethel. She died from a heart attack at the age of 79 on August 1st, 1973 in Arkadelphia, AR.
