Mamie was born on November 24th, 1916. Mamie's father was Jesse Warren Sanders and her mother was Pearl Lassiter. Her paternal grandparents were Hansford Newton Sanders and Mary Catherine “Katie” Weems. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hartley, Dewey and Elsie. She was the third oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 on March 27th, 2000 in Beeville, Bee, TX.¹
