Hartley Sanders

Olen, known as Hartley, was born on August 5th, 1911 in Delite, Arkansas. Hartley's father was Jesse Warren Sanders and his mother was Pearl Lassiter. His paternal grandparents were Hansford Newton Sanders and Mary Catherine “Katie” Weems. He had a brother and two sisters, named Dewey, Elsie and Mamie. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 85 on October 28th, 1996 in Andrews, TX.¹
