David was born on June 15th, 1906. David's father was William Eilias Sanders and his mother was Mary Maude Hopkins. His paternal grandparents were Hansford Newton Sanders and Mary Catherine “Katie” Weems. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Nola and Vondel. He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Bessie and Rissie. He died at the age of 77 on October 19th, 1983 in De Queen, Sevier Co., AR. He was buried in 1983 in Green's Chapel, Sevier Co., AR.¹
