Ollie, known as O'Dell, was born on October 15th, 1914. O'Dell's father was O (Jim) Charles Cornelius (Green) and his mother was Alice Jane McCarrell. His maternal grandparents were Harvey Landon McCarrell and Martha Ann Elizabeth Pinion. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Clarence, Elmer, Henry, Pearl, Bertha, Lela and Vergie. He died at the age of 82 on November 30th, 1996 in Sterlington, Ouachita, LA.¹
